'FORT'ified : Forts & blah blah : Qutub Minar

Since my childhood, I am very much fascinated by forts, monuments, historic architecture and fortress. I feel, architectures still holds the story it has been through and try to teach us the lessons it learned from history. However the great architecture, nothing is greater than 'Time'; as time grows the architectures may fall, break down. But always the Story remains forever, crossing heart to heart and reaching to everybody. 

As I land in Delhi around the end of month January, I see all pink-purple sky, sun was about to pop in. Delhi, the capital city of India, during winter has covered with all blazing colours. I was astound by the view, the beaming red miracle clutched palatial backdrop from air. 

It is more marvellous in closer view - The Qutub Minar. The world's tallest brick minaret, speciality of Delhi and one of the most popular tourist destinations of India.

The tower was built in the 12th century as a Victory Tower by the Sultan of Delhi Qutb-ud-din Aibak. The height of tower is around 235 ft. The prime part of the tower is its Arabic inscriptions that demonstrates the beauty of Kufic calligraphy. 

The minaret standing tall in the heart of the city, appeared as a soldier monitoring all the events going on in the city, freezing all the moments since ancient time.
